US Marshals, York City police GVI Unit and York County Drug Task Force conducted the search of a residence in the 3900 block of West Waverly Court in York on Wednesday, according to a police release.
The following items were seized during the search, police say:
- 1 lb. 3 oz. of Crack Cocaine-$53,400 (street value)
- 3.9 oz. of Powder Cocaine-$3,900 (street value)
- 16 Grams of Fentanyl-$1,600 (street value)
- 5 lb. 8 oz. Marijuana-$12,300 (street value)
- Glock .40 Cal. With Auto Sear with Drum Magazine
- $14,241 in US Currency
Dominique Deshawn-Tyrell Hightower, 23, was apprehended and charged with the following offenses, according to police and court documents:
- Possession with the Intent to Deliver (4 Counts)
- Criminal Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Deliver (4 Counts)
- Person not to Possess a Firearm
Saquana Tawane Layer, 31, was charged with the following offenses, according to police and court documents:
- Possession with the Intent to Deliver (4 Counts)
- Criminal Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Deliver (4 Counts).
Hightower was held in the York County Prison in lieu of $100,000.
Layer was released on a surety bond for $25,000 in bail.
Both of their preliminary hearings has been scheduled with Magisterial District Judge Barry L. Bloss Jr. on Nov. 17 at 9 a.m.
The search and seizure was assisted by York County Probation and Harrisburg Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearm and Explosives.
